Battery Energy Storage System

BESS

A grid-connected electrochemical storage asset (commonly lithium-ion) used for frequency regulation, peak shaving, renewable firming, or arbitrage. Subject to IEEE 1547, UL 9540, and local AHJ fire-code requirements.
